Told in their own words, these are stories by local people in the Sikh and other communities in Sandwell and the Black Country in England. Many people from the Indian subcontinent came to England to help with rebuilding after the second world war. They came to support the NHS and to work in industry and transport. Through they were much needed they also experienced terrible discrimination.
