A ritual of light, colour, harmony, unity and atmosphere

The lotus flower is a symbol of transformation from darkness into the light, from innocence into insight and wisdom, towards peace and serenity. The symbolism derives from the fact that the lotus grows its roots in the dark dirt below, while this wonderful flower is always turned towards the light.

Chakra 7 - Violet: Sedating effect in mind and body. Enhances purpose and dignity.

Chakra 5 - Blue: Soothing, relaxing and healing. Also the colour of communication.

Chakra 4 - Green: Balancing and harmonizing. Activates feeling of love, tolerance and understanding.

Chakra 3 - Yellow: Stimulates mental activity and feelings of self confidence. Aids study, because it keeps you alert.

Chakra 2 - Orange: Warming and energizing. Orange is also the colour of pleasure and coziness.

Chakra 1 - Red: Provides extra energy, stimulates our emotions. Activates digestion. Restores contact with the Earth, our living space.

The colour of white will be active in all chakras, and represents clarity and purity.
