The Roped Dholak A roped Dholak is mainly a folk instrument, used in traditional Indian folk music across India from the north of India down to the south. The Dholak is a two-headed hand-drum consisting of a Bass side (larger Drum Head) and a Treble side (Smaller Drum Head). The drum is pitched, depending on size of the two drum heads. The drum originates from the Indian subcontinent, and has traditional cotton rope lacing, and steel rings which are used for tuning. Great for beginners. Measuring approximately 16'' in length. Colour of wood may vary slightly, as this is a handmade product.

We also offer a repair service for Dholak drums, and replacement drum heads are available. If this service is required please feel free to email us with name and number and we will be happy to assist you over the phone or via email with any enquiries.
